As an Oncology Nurse Navigator, you will function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and serve as an advocate and educator for cancer patients from diagnosis through end of active treatment.
You will ensure the patient remains compliant to the treatment plan. You will achieve this goal by building relationships with patients and physicians, coordinating the plan of care, assisting with appointments, transportation needs, education, resource provision and/or representation within the multidisciplinary care environment. You will also assume responsibility and accountability for the management of resources to achieve efficient, high-quality outcomes for cancer patients, including support with interdisciplinary and cross-facility coverage and collaboration
You will serve as a liaison between the patient and family, all physicians involved in patients care, internal and external healthcare providers, support network members, and the wider healthcare community. You will collaborate with local physician liaisons and leadership to conduct internal and external outreach and marketing.

St. Davids Medical Center is a full-service hospital located in central Austin, Texas. This 300+ bed facility features a 24-hour emergency department, the regions largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and the internationally-renowned Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute and St. Davids Neuroscience & Spine Institute . The full scope of services provided at St. Davids Medical Center includes cancer care, heart and vascular care, imaging services, joint replacement and orthopedics, womens services, complex surgical services, and a Bariatric Surgery Center . The facility is home to a 60+ bed rehabilitation hospital providing both inpatient and outpatient comprehensive care.
